Why Snowmobiles Rock

  

Snowmobiles are awesome because you pretty much float on snow except for when you sink but otherwise that is awesome.  They are pretty close to indestructible.  Mine got rolled at 85MPH and all we needed was a new ski and brackets.  They are one tough, mean machine.  Plus, what else do you have to do during the winter?  All you need is a helmet; some warm clothes, a snowmobile, and a very good medical plan. 

You don’t even have to be a mechanic.  Anyone can fix a snowmobile.  You could even turn it into a family trip go to Montana or Michigan.  Rent a few snowmobiles and go riding in the mountains.  You don’t even need a license to drive one.   Also if you happen to have an old broken car you can use it as a jump for a snowmobile.

 If you like going fast, you can get them up to a good 90MPH or if you like things loud you can make them louder.  Even if you don’t like riding but you like mechanics you can have a fun time customizing your snowmobile.   If you really like adrenaline rushes you can try doing tricks and if you get good enough you can get paid to do what you love to do, which will probably make your life better because you love your job so you will be happier. 

So my point is instead of being inside and doing nothing, go ride snowmobile and have some fun.  Also Luke Covert has one.

GAS POWERED

            Gas powered cars are the original cars.  They play a huge role in our lives today. They have come along way in MPG, luxury and weight of the car.  They have been getting us from place to place for years.

They have also been entertaining us through drag races and car shows.  They also been providing thousands of jobs for people who not only make the car but also people who have to make and sell new parts.

But sadly they are polluting the air we breathe.  On top of that the oil in America is running low so we have to pay foreign countrys to produce our oil and we pay billions to them.

Once they have our billions they go and build big strong armies to fight against us.  So we are arming the enemy.  Eventually Americas dependence on oil will come back to bite us in the butt because their economy will prosper and America’s economy will be down the tubes.  What Iam trying to say is gas has been working for us but we need to find a different resource because America will be hurting if we don’t find something new.

Broken Leg

         It all started out the summer before second grade.  It was a hot summer day, my brother Cody and I were hanging out and I have a thing for getting a rise out of people who are easily aggravated.  On that day I found out that I was pretty good at it too.  My brother was just sitting there doing nothing. 

So I got a good idea to run into him and said we were playing bike tag.  After a while I got him mad enough to the point where he decided to play my game.  He was it and we took off.  All the sudden I had to make a quick right and turn around the lawn mower. 

But sadly I didn’t make the right turn.  My brother hit my back wheel, causing me to spin out and fall on the ground.  I lay on the ground and told Cody that I broke my leg, but he didn’t believe me.  So after I didn’t get off the ground for a while, Cody finally went and got dad.  But, of course, with my luck dad didn’t believe I broke my leg either.  So dad left me outside until it got dark out. 

Then, I told dad that I either needed a pillow or for him to bring me into the house before wild dogs eat me.  He chose to bring me inside the house.  The next morning he brought me into the hospital and the whole way home all he heard was, “I told you so!  Ha-ha.”  I spent the next month learning how to ride wheelies in my wheel chair and watching Spongebob.  Next, I got that cast cut off wich really tickles when they saw it off. 

Then they put another cast on for about a half a month and I got to wear that one during second grade.  With that cast I could kick a soccer ball the length of the field and when we played kickball I could get it all the way out to Dunnick’s drive way. 

I even wore a whole through the bottom of that cast.  When they cut that cast off they found pennies, pencils and even a toy army man.  I wanted to keep the cast but my mom said no way. 

Tom Sawyer

           

            My book was on Tom Sawyer.   It is a fiction book written by Mark Twain.  It is about a boy named Tom Sawyer.  He is a rebellious kid who doesn’t like to be dressed up or go to church or do any type of work.  He likes to be rebellious, untaken care of and having fun hanging out and getting into trouble with his friend, Huck.  He does not like people who are goody-two-shoes, tattle tail or any have type of authority over him.  Huck is basically the same as Tom but he doesn’t have any authority over him.  The person in authority over him is Aunt Polly she is strict and likes to try out new medicines.

 It took place in St. Petersburg, Mississippi.  it was kind of a hick little town with very few people.  It all starts out with Aunt Polly yelling and looking for Tom.  She finally found him in the closet eating jam.  The jam that she has told him not to eat 40 times.  The punishment for eating the jam was white washing the fence.  While he was white washing the fence, Jim walked by and Tom told him that he couldn’t do the job because it was a special job.  Then Jim actually wanted to do Tom`s work.  So he tricked Jim into doing his job for him.  After a little while he got more people to do it for him.  He even got them to give him stuff to do his job.  So he is smart in a conniving way. 

The most interesting part of the book is when Tom and Huck sneak out at night and go to the graveyard.  But when they get there they see Muff Potter and Injun Joe digging up a grave for Doc.  But when Doc doesn’t pay them enough Injun Joe gets mad and Muff Potter passes out. Injun Joe hits Doc in the head with a shovel and grabs Muff’s knife to frame him for the murder.

 After that Tom and Huck make a pact never to speak of that night again.  The next morning Muff wakes up and thinks he did it.  The authorities catch him and he is put in jail until his trial.  Tom goes to his trial and stands up in front of the jury and tells them that Injun Joe did it.  Injun Joe ran out of the courtroom and hid.  Tom had broken the oath with Huck. 

After a few days they kind of stopped looking for Injun Joe.  After a while there is a picnic that Tom and Becky go to.  During the picnic they take a tour of a cave where Tom convinces Becky to sneak off with him.  But there is a problem they forget how to get back and are lost.  Once the others are getting ready to go they notice that they are gone.  So now they need to send out a search party.  But they can’t find them.  They basically think all hope is lost.  After walking around for a while, guess whom they find?  Injun Joe. 

This was a good book because it keeps your attention and its not too long.  So it is great if you have a short attention span.  I think that this book will make you just want to keep reading because there always a new smaller conflict in the big conflict.

Muscle or Prius

            The use of cars in our world today is ginormous.    The roles they play in our lives are huge. It is amazing how much they help us.   They are what made America into the strong country it is today.

But they also could end up tearing apart America with are need for foreign oil especially now that the amount of oil that we have is going down quite a bit each year.  Another bad part of the gas-powered car is the amount of pollution they cause in the air.   After a while they could cause some pretty bad pollutions in the air and it will affect our health eventually.   

One of the advantages of gas is they have got when you press the gas petal the engine roars and it is loud.  There is so much muscle the car shakes and you can feel the power flow through the entire car.  The electric car when you hit the accelerator it sounds like a moped is driving by.  The horn sounds like somebody took it off of a bicycle.  Also with gas there is a lot more room.  Electric is more expensive right now if we have to go and buy a brand new car.  But when it all comes down to it we will probably be driving these little depressing electric cars.
